MNprov: Designing for Play and Accessibility
One of the things I love most about consulting is getting to collaborate with organizations whose values align with my own. Earlier this year, I had the chance to work with MNprov, a nonprofit that uses applied improvisation to help people — especially neurodivergent students and adults — build confidence, communication, and creativity.
MNprov’s approach is both playful and purposeful. Their workshops invite participants to try new things, take risks, and discover strengths in a supportive, inclusive environment. It’s work that not only teaches improv but also nurtures resilience and connection.
I’ve partnered with MNprov on a couple of projects that brought together my passion for accessibility and clear communication:
Website Refresh – The old site felt outdated and cluttered, making it difficult for visitors to find key information. The new design is a modern, inclusive platform that highlights their programs, reflects their mission, and offers a smoother, more accessible experience.

Game Instruction Slides – Improv games are meant to be fun and engaging, but the original slides were designed for instructors. I reworked these materials into participant-facing slides that are easy to read, include supportive visuals, and follow plain language and accessibility standards. The result is a set of slides that help participants fully enjoy the experience of improv.

I’m grateful to MNprov for trusting me with these projects and for the meaningful work they’re doing in the community. Partnering with organizations that center neurodivergent voices and inclusive practices is exactly why I founded Sonnauta Solutions LLC.
